How to configure the launch of a practice test

Getting started with MeasureUp Practice Tests: Features, modes, and launch configuration

A MeasureUp Practice Test is a high-quality, interactive tool designed to help you prepare for official IT certification exams. These tests simulate the real exam experience, offering questions that match the format, difficulty, and objectives of the actual certification.

With a MeasureUp Practice Test, you can:

A) Practice in two modes:
    • Practice Mode, with detailed explanations and references for each question.
    • Certification Mode, which mimics the real exam environment.
B) Track your progress with performance reports that highlight your strengths and areas for improvement.
C) Build confidence by practicing with questions developed by experts and aligned with the latest exam objectives.

To use a Practice Test, follow these steps:

1) Log in to MeasureUp Learn.
2) Redeem your practice test key (received via email after purchase).
3) Go to your Training Library and click Start Now to launch your practice test.

Note: If you click Deactivate, the practice test will no longer appear on your Dashboard, but it will remain accessible from your Training Library. This feature is useful for users with multiple registered tests or an active subscription.

 

Practice Test Launch Configuration

When launching a practice test, you’ll see a configuration menu with the following options:

General Information

At the top of the screen, you’ll find basic details about the test launch.


General Options

Choose your preferred launch mode:

  • Certification Mode. Designed to simulate the official certification exam. It includes the same number of questions and time limit as the real exam.
  • Practice Mode. Designed for learning and review, with multiple customization options:
  1. Select the number of questions for your attempt.
  2. Choose whether to set a time limit or not.

Advanced Settings (available only in Practice Mode)
  • Question Filters. Customize your attempt by filtering questions based on:
    • Difficulty level
    • Questions answered incorrectly in previous attempts
    • Questions not yet seen
    • Specific exam objectives

  • Test Behavior. Define how correct answers and explanations are displayed, and in what order.

Once you’ve configured your Practice Mode settings, click Next.

Review your selected configuration (in Certification Mode, this will be pre-set), then click Start Now to begin your attempt.
